LEGO Cactus MOC

This LEGO cactus MOC is a 27-piece brick-built desert cactus in dark green, with four curved arms and a rounded top, standing on a sandy tan base. The trunk is a column of bricks with studs facing outward on every side, which gives it a ribbed, prickly texture, while the arms are fixed to the trunk with small tan connectors.

At 6 x 6 studs and 6.6 cm tall, it uses only 8 different parts and 11 pages of free step-by-step instructions, so it is a quick build and a good first project for kids or anyone new to LEGO. Building the trunk from bricks with side studs is also a simple introduction to SNOT (studs not on top) building. The finished plant fits on a desk, a windowsill or a bookshelf, and it never needs watering.

This is a custom MOC, not an official LEGO plant set. It goes well with the other nature builds on the site, such as the flower pots, the campfire and the camping tent.
