About this MOC
This LEGO Christmas tree MOC is a 31-piece build in dark green, trimmed with translucent round ornaments and a gold star on top. Angled dark green plates fan out around a central core to form the tapered branches, a cone finishes the tip, and red, yellow, green, orange and light blue baubles are spread all the way around. The tree stands on a short reddish brown trunk and a round brown base.
At 5 x 5 studs and 9.6 cm tall, it is a quick and satisfying project for kids and first-time builders, and a gentle introduction to sideways building (SNOT), since the branch plates attach to the sides of the core. Free step-by-step instructions guide each stage of the build. It makes a small decoration for a desk, a windowsill or a mantel, and a few copies lined up could turn into a little snowy forest for a winter scene.
This is a custom MOC, not one of the official LEGO Christmas tree sets. For a complete holiday setup, build it next to the Christmas fireplace with its wreath and wrapped gifts.
